The platform is uniquely designed to promote knowledge sharing within Qgroup and to create tailored training for customers. QAcademy means that both employees and customers can request on-demand training in specific areas.
Qgroup today has over 800 IT consultants, each of whom possesses specialist knowledge across a very broad spectrum. Depending on a customer&#8217;s request, one or more handpicked specialists are selected to create and implement the training in the QAcademy platform.
In the future, Qgroup will also create training content, which will then be offered to external course participants.

Our Q heroes will carry a special Q torch from Malmö to Stockholm as they cycle through Sweden.
The tour kicked off on November 22nd when our founders cycled the first leg between Malmö and Lund. The cycling tour will then continue through all Q office locations in Sweden, with its final destination in Stockholm, where our stars from all Q companies will gather for a spectacular Christmas Party celebration at Stockholm&#8217;s City Hall.

Qgroup grows and starts yet another new IT company - Data Dao - in Malmö. The three founders, Erik Munkby, Daniel Andersson and Benny Andrén, are currently building an organization with specialist consultants in data with a unique edge.

By also having good insights into implementation, change management and organizational culture, Data Dao should be able to offer its customers a significantly higher success rate in data projects.
&#8220;After many years in the industry, we have often seen large projects dealing with slip-ups. To successfully push projects through with optimal results, it’s required that the consultant works closely with the business and really understands it. That&#8217;s why we are now recruiting talent who have such deep knowledge of organizational issues and behavioural science that they can go anywhere and create results on completely new levels,&#8221; says Benny Andrén, founder and partner, Data Dao.
New times for data 
To attract the right talent, Data Dao has a different recruitment process. For example, a new form of community is being created at Foo Café in Malmö. Those interested in data are invited there to be able to discuss questions connected to data in a more relaxed manner, while some give presentations about their various niches.
&#8220;We create connections with people who have a close connection to technology, but who must care about that the technology is used. The idea of ​​the community is to invite people with different backgrounds regarding age, gender and culture. We want to bring in as many perspectives as possible to be complete.”
Podcast in the making 
Going forward, Data Dao has plans to start a podcast on the subject, where you should be able to talk about data in a fairly &#8220;down to earth&#8221; way.
&#8220;We want to demystify all the platitudes that exist in the IT world and find the best talent that the industry has. Data Dao is formed in a different way than a traditional IT consulting company, which is the whole point.”

Qgroup forms new recruitment firm

<h3>Qlose is the new name of the recruitment firm that demonstrates Qgroup’s vision to spark 
innovation in the industry.</h3>
Qgroup&#8217;s business concept is to individually select the best IT consultants in the industry, which the partly owned recruitment company Onyx has worked with on behalf of the group.
Now Onyx is being merged with the recruitment company 6Degrees, which has also distinguished itself as an innovator in the IT and tech segment. Together they create a recruitment business under a new common name &#8211; Qlose.
Qlose will invest in recruitment, consultant recruitment and consultancy for the IT industry and at the same time create a completely new platform for its candidates. The way of working is characterized by a mindset that has similarities with an agency that works actively for its candidates throughout their careers.
Martin Trikson, CEO at Qlose: 
&#8220;Qlose moves away from traditional recruitment where a certain position must be filled against a static requirement specification. The job market has already shown completely different structures and we see more and more people looking for more than one job. The days when the employer is the only one who can make all the demands are gone. Qgroup invests in IT consultant CoreChange

<h3>Following the transaction, Qgroup owns 25 percent of the shares in the parent company CoreChange Group AB.</h3>
CoreChange was founded in 2013 and is a fast-growing IT consulting company with operations in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In 2021, the company had sales of approximately SEK 160 million and more than 100 employees. The business concept is to drive their customers&#8217; digital journey of change &#8211; from strategy to implementation and realization. The basic offer includes consulting services, primarily in business systems and e-commerce for customers in both the private and public sectors.
The investment in CoreChange means that Qgroup buys 25 percent of the parent company&#8217;s shares. The transaction takes place through a new share issue, which at the same time ensures the CoreChange Group&#8217;s continued expansion going forward.

“Investing in CoreChange is just right for us &#8211; now we are adding a well-run and fast-growing company to our group. The deal also means that we are entering the business systems (SAP) segment for the first time. The Qgroup Scholarship awarded to OatLab

<h3>Since 2014, Qgroup has awarded selected students with the Qgroup Scholarship. Recipients are graduates from the Master’s Programme in Entrepreneurship &amp; Innovation at Lund University.</h3>
This year, the scholarship is awarded to Team OatLab AKA &#8211; Amrit Gill, Anne Offringa &amp; Teddy van der Vlugt for the following reasons:
“In their start-up project, they offer a commercialisation avenue to a Lund University innovation of a novel method to emulsify oat oil. And thus, their start-up offers – in their own words: “Sweden’s first oat-based skincare line, made for conscious consumers who want to nourish both self and planet, by eliminating chemical additives and using ethically-sourced ingredients.”

“It’s an honor to be present at the graduation ceremony yet again and to be able to hand out our scholarship to students who have made an impression with their innovation. Our own identity lies in questioning old truths and paving the way for new thinking. Hence, this scholarship lies close to our hearts. The Qgroup Scholarship is an award of 20.000 SEK.

Qgroup buys into fast-growing digital agency

<h3>Qgroup becomes a partner in Fully Studios by acquiring 20 percent of the company. The deal means that Qgroup strengthens its offering within brand development &amp; design.</h3>
Fully Studios is an award-winning Swedish studio in Gothenburg and Stockholm that offers services in web and app development, film, and gaming. With a total of 26 employees, the company has sales of approximately SEK 20 million. In recent years, Fully Studios has invested in its offer in digital development. Among other things, it has generated attention from DI Gasell, which has named Fully Studios one of Sweden’s fastest-growing companies for three years in a row in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

“Qgroup entered 2021 with self-confidence and is now reporting a record year straight through, which really focused on the importance of both delivering good profitability and at the same time investing for the future and in the technologies that are changing our industry.
In 2021, Qgroup increased its net sales by almost 27 percent to SEK 506 million (399) and significantly improved operating profit to just over SEK 50 million (15). There is obviously a great need for our consultants’ expertise in the market.
Under the theme “Shaping the new way of consulting,” our annual report describes the Qgroup Group’s strategy and the activities that made 2021 a record year. The report also shows how Qgroup’s basic philosophy &#8211; to start and develop successful companies around people and their skills &#8211; has led to a record number of new recruits and highly motivated consultants who think new and where the word “impossible” does not exist. In total, more than 181 employees joined Qgroup, which is a doubling in the number of recruits compared with the previous year.
Virtually all of our 30 subsidiaries and 5 associated companies were successful in 2021. We also started a new company in Poland and a joint venture in India. The inventor and tech investor Martin Gren is best known for founding Axis Communications – where he&#8217;s still chairman of the board. Joel Eklund comes from a different background. As owner and chairman of TePe, he has raised the company to become a market leader in dental care products. Now the two successful entrepreneurs are investing in the growing IT consulting company Qgroup.
It feels fantastic that both Martin and Joel will join our journey. They will contribute with their knowledge and competence around the many aspects of entrepreneurship, says Mikael Kretz, co-founder of Qgroup.

Fredrik Wester is the founder and chairman of the successful Swedish gaming company Paradox Interactive. He is now taking a seat as a board member of Qgroup and at the same time becoming an investor in the growing  IT consulting company. Fredrik will primarily strengthen the competencies regarding questions about the group’s continued rapid growth, acquisitions, and future strategies.
&#8220;It feels fantastic that Fredrik has chosen Qgroup as one of his new commitments, and we’re looking forward to having his expertise on our board,&#8221; says Mikael Kretz, co-founder of Qgroup. We live in turbulent times, which means that it is time to get hold of the best tools available and start using them before your competitors do. I have had the opportunity to meet many consultants, entrepreneurs, and leaders who talk about rebooting themselves or their companies. They are looking for new ways to show their real value to attract new clients, talents, or investors. The paradox is that it is no longer about being the best; it is about being unique.
<h4 class="h4">Aiming For Being The Best In Business Is Overrated</h4>
Many are currently striving to be the best in their business field, but best compared to whom and what? It often ends up with a competition involving high marketing costs. Edward de Bono, the bestselling author of books about creativity and the inventor of lateral thinking, says that we should move beyond the baseline of competition. The choice of running your own race instead of running alongside others could give you a competitive edge over other businesses. Change is as natural as breathing, and with everything that is happening today, it is time to future-proof our careers and businesses. The pandemic has intensified many existing trends, and it will unlock new unique windows of possibilities.
We need to find a balance between what has worked up until now, and what needs to happen to succeed in the new normal.
The critical factor that will become more important than ever is our reputation and how it builds trust. It will decide the success of every future collaboration and business deal. It is time to take it from something merely interesting to something indispensable.
We are entering a new normal, and we will more often move into new professional arenas. Your reputation will be the most critical asset that you will bring from one project to the next, highlighting what you can accomplish and how you do things. It is the complete approach to your expertise, unique qualities (result skills), bugs, and performance.
The new normal is digital. Working from home has become kind of a mantra in the future of work discussions, but I think that we are missing something fundamental here. Instead, it is about having the choice of working from anywhere; it is the freedom to work from places where we are most productive, combining efficiency with quality of life. We miss out on a lot of the truly critical stuff. A Reputation Resumé will be our best friend heading for excellence or increased potential to be hired for a new project. It expands our self-awareness and makes us see our capacity and performance in a whole new light. I dare say that it is the most crucial document in your professional life since the people who are doing great work have their preceding reputation as their most valuable asset.
An excellent reputation is something you earn by doing outstanding work, treating people well, and staying genuine; it is both a mindset and a lifelong commitment. You cannot have an attractive reputation without putting in the effort. The self-awareness that comes from knowing the content of your reputation will be THE success factor in navigating the new normal.

Soft skills are not soft. They are the true hard skills that generate results. We will also be entering a time when successful companies will no longer be filled with people sending in their traditional resumés. Instead, they will be filled with individuals with excellent reputations built on how they do things. Professional growth will focus on building your reputation around top performance creating expectations, and earning trust. There are some exciting times ahead, and foresighted companies like QGroup will have a massive advantage in the competition for the best talents and clients.

LFB collect mountains of data about all their activities and expanding into data science to make sure we aren’t missing any insights is a natural progression for a world class fire service. We hope to be able to share this approach and drive the whole sector forward.”

The first element involved expanding existing topic modelling capabilities to be applicable to new and existing datasets. Topic modelling is useful in identifying categories from unlabelled data.
For example given a dataset containing the text from Wikipedia articles on the top grossing films of all time, one could categorise their genres and highlight the words associated with each genre.

The topic modelling approach used was Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), and the code was created in a format that will enable LFB to run LDA on any chosen set of articles. These could be fire investigation reports, reports about health and safety events or even consultation responses.
The second part involved building a predictive model to predict categorisation fields from article text. A logistic regression classifier was created with a predictive accuracy of over 70%.

You can&#8217;t opt out from having a reputation, and you can&#8217;t ignore it; it&#8217;s how others perceive your work and how you do things. Instead, it would be best if you handle it with your actions and commitment, as it is the foundation of everything in your professional life. The self-awareness that comes from knowing your reputation is the number one success factor today for everyone, no matter what position you have.

The results show that 85 percent of your financial success stems from unique personal qualities such as personality, the ability to communicate, negotiate, and lead. Only, as they wrote, &#8220;a shockingly low&#8221; 15 percent is due to their technological background, this goes for all of us, and working with reputation will give you the full picture.
The new ways of working will demand focus on a unique set of skills. We are in a digitally intensive era where, of course, digital building expertise will be in high demand together with the soft skills that put them to action with a successful result, combined with also the business skills that put everything to great use will build an excellent reputation. It&#8217;s always about that combination of expertise, experience, soft skills, and at the same time handling the bugs that might hinder your success.
Reputation is extremely important, but I also hear people saying that you shouldn&#8217;t be concerned about what others think about you. However, dismissing reputation is not such a great idea. Your reputation ultimately determines your future opportunities, and successful people have always stressed that building and maintaining reputation is a fundamental ingredient to their success.

It must stand up for you when you&#8217;re not there,  important decisions are made, and it will do the job before you arrive. It might be time to get to know what it looks like and how you can grow and expand it. A vast majority lack this crucial knowledge.
Your reputation is the most critical part that you bring from one deal to the next, from project to project and how you act is always the multiplier. Having an excellent reputation is the golden key that opens doors to exciting people and companies that you want to do business with or learn from them.
Each time that I give feedback on someone&#8217;s professional reputation through their Reputation Resumé, I see the tremendous positive impact that it has. Typically it takes about a week or two to get it into your mind and body to accept the strengths, and then something powerful happens. Suddenly you get the courage and tools to pursue the goals that you are aiming to achieve over time. You will act on your strengths and also get the possibility to handle the bugs/weaknesses that might hinder your success. Regardless of age, regardless of position, or the business we&#8217;re in, we need to understand the importance and power of reputation. Your success is dependent on it.
Today we&#8217;re looking for attitudes, the soft skills and those unique qualities that create results and potential. Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, wrote in his book &#8220;The Start-up of You&#8221; that those skills are hard to tally, but there is an obvious solution. Knowing your reputation through your Reputation Resumé will get you a 100% accurate description of those unique qualities.

<h4>Release The Beta Version Of You</h4>
Every morning when we wake up, most of us see those small red dots on our smartphone apps, meaning that they have been updated. The app was released in a Beta version and is then continuously updated to get better, aiming for something excellent over time. There is something to learn here.
This way of thinking could also apply to your professional growth, and you could release the Beta version of you, realizing that you also have bugs and continuously keep updating yourself. The approach builds on curiosity, courage, and action, and it gives your reputation a huge boost. It&#8217;s a game changer that transforms your weaknesses into bugs that you can handle in different ways, and you will eventually stop associating risk with failure. Plus, when releasing something new, bugs are quite natural and not a weakness. It will have a significant effect on your way of acting.
I love working with bold companies, and I’ve had the privilege to work with the brilliant consultants and leaders of QGroup for some years around their personal reputation. This large manufacturing company was struggling in aligning its different stakeholders around data plus the different approaches to create a data culture, and data-driven processes had failed due to lack of cohesive thinking, proper training, and absence of tangible quick wins.

<h3>Our Approach</h3>
We relied on our successful approach of stakeholder alignment, motivational speaking, world-class data training, hands-on workshop, and ongoing support. One specific aspect of this engagement was our collaboration with the data analytics and IT organization to build a integrate user accessible solutions that would have the agility to support the rapid fire of the many lean processes that the newly trained teams would design.
We also created a completely tailored training + workshop methodology that the internal trainers could take and deliver across the organization.

<h3>What was the end result?</h3>
The organization is now training new data-savvy employees every week. The previous approaches solely focused on big data stories, data science algorithms, or coding that failed to empower the teams got replaced by our standard methodology that continued to be improved iterations after iterations.

<li>Make finance processes leaner and cut down processes from days to minutes</li>
<li>Recover from a failed big data/data lake implementation which never got traction with the business and turned people away from data.</li>

We rolled out a multi-staged intervention over a 3-month period. We aligned senior management, IT, and finance along the same philosophy of managing data. We ignited new dynamics for the global finance team through motivational keynotes, and we rolled out trainings and workshops to infuse solid data expertise, to get started fast and deliver quick-wins.

The company is now running a training program of its own, gradually empowering their finance teams around the world.
