The entrepreneur and business angel Linda Bjernstål has been appointed as a new board member of QCG Sweden AB (Qgroup).

Linda Bjernstål Joins Qgroup's Board of Directors

Linda Bjernstål, born in 1976, grew up on the outskirts of Helsingborg and has an entrepreneurial background. She founded and ran the travel site Flygstolen.se, which she sold after just over a decade to make further investments as an entrepreneur and business angel.
Linda has received several awards for her success as an entrepreneur, including Dagens Industri&#8217;s desirable designation &#8220;Digital Gazelle of the Year&#8221; in 2015. Linda has experience in board work from her own companies and from Handelsbanken in Helsingborg and Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport. She has also been a senior advisor to the logistics company NoWaste.

Linda Bjernstål:

Organic sales growth amounted to 24.4% (26.9) 
Operating profit amounted to SEK 48.4 million (52.4)

Jon Carvell, CEO of Qgroup, comments:
&#8220;Qgroup doesn&#8217;t just sum up another year; we can also look back at ten years of incredible growth. During these years, we have had both pandemic and market volatility due to the war in Ukraine. Despite this, Qgroup delivers stable figures yearly, proving that our business model keeps what it promises. Our 2022 was no exception, the group&#8217;s turnover increased organically by 24 percent compared to 2021, and we expanded our operations by around 200 consultants, including the recruitments of associated companies.
Qgroup&#8217;s international expansion continued at an even higher pace than before. Operations in the USA, Germany, and Poland grew with good profitability. Even our joint venture in India showed one positive development, and we started a new business in Tokyo.
In this annual report, we take the reader through our history, our business model, and exceptional events that took place during 2022, where our 10-year anniversary &#8211; celebrated with a ball in Vienna, Austria &#8211; of course, stood out.
In conclusion, we continue to do exactly what we decided ten years ago when Qgroup was founded &#8211; to put consultants&#8217; careers and development first. During the journey, it has been clear that more people think like us and who also joined Qgroup for that reason. We have built the group we have today, a group of companies that I am convinced will deliver strongly in 2023 and forwards.&#8221;

Qgroup acquires an additional 21 percent of Dynabyte AB and thus becomes the company's majority owner.

Qgroup becomes the majority owner of Dynabyte AB

Dynabyte is a Stockholm-based IT consulting company at the forefront of digital change for almost two decades. In 2022, the company had a turnover of SEK 38 million with a profit of just over 15 percent.
Qgroup saw the potential in the company early on and became a partner in Dynabyte AB as early as 2020. The next step in the business occurs when Qgroup acquires another 21 percent and thus becomes the majority owner with a total of 51 percent.
Jon Carvell, CEO of Qgroup, comments:
&#8220;For several years, we have seen the company develop in exactly the right direction; hence it is a natural step for us to become the majority owner now. The deal means we can further strengthen our delivery capacity within the development and project management solutions in Stockholm.&#8221;

Västerås next for Qgroup

The Swedish IT group Qgroup continues growing in Sweden and globally. The latest establishment occurs through a new office in Västerås, where the subsidiary Qrew opens.
Qrew today runs its operations from Gothenburg with 24 employees. The company has had app and web development as its primary focus. The office in Västerås will broaden Qrew&#8217;s range of services with niche IT services for industrial companies.
Jenny Nirs, CEO of Qrew, comments:
&#8220;This is an exciting step for both Qrew and Qgroup. Västerås is getting an ever-greater connection to Stockholm. Several heavy industrial companies already have establishments there, and more and more are seeing the advantages of being within commuting distance of the big city. We will now recruit more employees to meet the high demand for IT expertise.&#8221;
